Games / Videos / Art Work

My name is Kevin Nelson I come from a family of six, I am the youngest of four boys. Needless to say, there were plenty of different types of games played in our home. Our entire family played PC games, counsel games, board games, and card games including Yu-Gi-oh, Pokémon, etc. Even now in our adulthood when we have family gatherings, we schedule family game time. In this photo I am playing a card game with my three older brothers. I love my brothers and am proud of them all. In my family we all choose different schools and careers that we are enthusiastic about. My dad is an IT Director, my mom is a Marketing and Community Engagement Coordinator, my brothers have careers in healthcare, engineering, and finance. Then there is me who chose to go into a field that made an impact on my life. Gaming was more than just a family activity to me; it was a learning tool that helped me with my struggles. It helped me to enjoy reading, improve logistical skills, and provided opportunities for me to explore and implement my creative ideas. I am passionate and excited about designing games that everyone can enjoy! I have many creative ideas that I would like to see come to fruition. I am willing to listen, learn, and improve my skills to work with those who are likeminded to achieve my goal. I want to be a part of a community that wants to design and develop games that will bring people together.

I graduated with an undergraduate degree in Creative Technologies from Illinois State University. I look forward to returning for another two years to earn my master’s degree. I enjoyed my year off to recharge and reflect, and I’m excited to work hard and continue learning to expand my knowledge.
